I was watching the movie "Love Jones", when i came across the name "Yemaya", an ancient goddess from Nigeria, also known as Mami Wata in other parts of Africa. Mami Wata is the name that i grew up hearing myths about and i was very frightned by all the things i heard about this mysterious woman. So i did some research and found out that Yemaya is found in many cultures but is originally from Nigeria. I also found some other gods and made up my mind to create a makeup look for the goddess Oshun, the goddess of love. I read that she was beautiful, sensual, sensitive but also has a temper.
