Sugar skull makeup - but the colors are reversed. If you invert the colors of this mask, you can see how the "real" mask should look like, white and blue :)
The idea for the reverse sugar skull makeup came from Goldiestarling, who did a reversed sugar skull look, except it was only in black and white and had a completely different design. I decided to make it more colorful and create a design that wasn't a "typical" sugar skull design.
This took me a long time to do - nearly 3 hours.
Tools you'll need:
Black face paint
Neon colored face paint
White face paint
Please note that I actually didn't use face paint for this tutorial simply because I couldn't get my hands on any good quality paints at the time. I used Lime Crime Uniliners and MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack. I don't actually recommend that you use these products for face painting because you will waste a lot of product - and these products are not cheap! I did like how bold the colors looked at the end, but I normally would not recommend using these products to do facepainting.
Some of the steps got cut out while I was saving, I'm not sure why - but I hope you still get the idea of how to achieve this look.
XOXO,
