How to Care for Fusion Hair Extensions:

Washing & Drying
-Do not wash your hair until 48 hours after the extensions have been installed. 
-Brush dry hair out completely and carefully with an extension brush before entering the shower and before bedtime. It prevents extension matting and tangling, and spreads nourishing oil throughout the extensions.
-Wash every 2 days or more and do not wash your hair upside down. Do not scrub hair aggressively. Do not get shampoo or conditioner on the bonds.
-Use good quality hair shampoo and conditioner. Stay away from ones that contain sulfur and alcohol as it breaks down the bond faster than desired. 
-Use good conditioner regularly on the remy hair extensions -- just remember to avoid the roots and the bonds.
-Be sure to dry your roots immediately. Do not let water sit on the bonds for too long or the glue will break down and extensions can fall out!

Styling
-Use a thermal heat protection solution when styling hair.
-Use low to moderate heat when blow drying to avoid damaging or melting the bonds. Do not use a brush with heat to straighten hair. Instead, use a flat iron or large barrel curling iron for smooth styles (while keeping heat off the bonds).
-Avoid excessive heat and products containing alcohol as they may dry out the hair. 

Sleeping
-At bedtime, braid hair into two side braids or in a high ponytail to prevent tangling and matting at the root area.
-Never go to bed with unbraided or wet hair as this significantly intensifies tangling and damage to the bonds.

Other
-Avoid salt water and chlorine water (wear a swim cap).
-Gently brush your hair twice daily to avoid tangling and matting of the extensions.
-The fusion extensions should be removed by a professional in order to minimize damaging your natural hair. Removal can take 1 - 3 hours.

If you follow these aftercare instructions, your hair extensions will remain beautiful and healthy! There will be very little damage done to your natural hair.
