Fortune cookies can make great gifts for the holidays, birthdays, or any time of the year. You can write personal messages, jokes, fortunes.....the options are endless. They are addicting to eat and I hope you guys try them out.

Recipe:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of almond extract
2 large egg whites
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp of cornstarch
1/4 tsp of salt
3 tsp of water

1) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
2) Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
3) Spoon a tablespoon of batter onto a cookie sheet and spread it out as a circle of about 4 inch diameter.
4) Bake until the cookies are golden brown around the edges (Takes about 5-6 minutes to bake).
5) Quickly remove from cookie sheet, place fortune inside and fold into desired fortune cookie shape (Fold cookie over into a semicircle and then bend the cookie in half over the edge of a mug or bowl to get desired fortune cookie shape).
