A smokey eye is a classic make-up look which can easily be worked up from wearable daytime to glamorous evening. The technique is the same whatever your eye colour, you just need to adjust the colour of your eyeshadow quad to contrast with your eyes.

Blue eyes - Try browns, cold greys
Green eyes - Try russets, coppers, plums
Hazel eyes - Try greens, bronzy golds
Brown eyes - Try very strong colours: emerald green, cobalt blue, purples
