Sorry I haven't gotten back to every comment yet, but yes the powder does dry out your lips, so if you have a problem with dry lips try using a moisturizing lipstick. :)

I know no one likes having dry lips but personally I don't think putting the powder dries my lips out THAT much and sometimes I'll even put a lip balm underneath the powder, but be careful when doing that... sometimes the powder will clump together when mixed with a lip balm. But just try it out and see how it works :)

& dabbing the lipstick puts the color onto your lips without that much product because when you slide the lipstick across your lips you get a lot of product which eventually smears off.
