The blog post I got this from is here http://wackylaki.blogspot.com/2012/08/tutorial-peel-off-base-coat.html . She said it's not her original idea either, but it's the first place I've seen it, so she gets my credit today. :)

I LOVE this method, and I hope you will too!
UPDATE: TIPS! Hi everyone - I have heard from several people who are trying to do the glue method for glitter are having trouble with their polish coming off too easy (who thought you'd ever have that problem with a glitter polish?!). Here's a few suggestions I have offered privately with people, and now I will share with you:
1. Wipe your nails down with acetone or remover before painting them, to remove any excess oils.
2. Thin your glue just a tiny bit with water to make it easier to work with
3. Paint carefully, trying your best to keep the glue from touching your cuticles or sidewalls of the nails. You want your topcoat to go just outside of the glue line.
4. Use a good topcoat and be sure that the topoat seals all edges of the glue. Very important to paint the free edge of the nails too! (the end of your nail). You don't want water to get under the glue to loosen it.
If you try all these things and still don't have success, then perhaps just one of the made-for-nails peel off basecoat (like Essence) would be better for you.
I hope this helps!
Pre-Answering:
1. The glue I used was Elmer's School Glue (which I believe is the same as PVA glue)
2. The Color Club polish was a gift from a friend.
3. The black polish I used to stamp was Wet N Wild Black Creme
4. The Cheeky plates can be found on Amazon.
