Ok, here is the result of my homemade clip-in extensions project.
Something that I did not talk about throughout the course of the video is the price breakdown. It was in the original video, but I edited it out.
Here is the cost of what I used to make these extensions;
12" Platinum blonde human hair weave (which I separated into 8 parts) $12 at my local hair store (not Sally's)
6 wig clips $3 at my local hair store (they are $1.99 for a pack of 3 at Sally's so I took them back when I found them for cheaper at another store)
21 packets of unsweetened kool-aid mix $4 (Grocery store)
Hook needle and hair thread $1.50
Total before sales tax: $20.49
1 pack (the equivalent of what I colored in this video) of human clip-in hair from Sally's costs $11. I purchased 8 times as much product and only spent twice as much money. If you want to only have one pack (with one color) of clip-in hair, go for the $11 pack. If you're like me and want to have some variety, do what I did. I feel that there is no need to have the virgin Indian hair for this project, because this isn't something that should be considered for constant long-term use.
FTC Disclosure: Everything that I used in this video was purchased by me.
