Being Gujerati, my brother and his fiancee had a Saanji before their wedding. It was a couple of weeks before and a fun evening of food, music and folk dancing. The colours worn are bright and fun, make up can be playful too according to your taste. As I am the grooms oldest sister (and the eldest girl in my Dad's clan) and that I love to dress up, it was fitting that I made an effort.

This is the look I went with. I finished it with a final seal. This is because I danced for hours and my make up would have been gone by the end of the evening. The seal kept it in place and it didn't budge at all.
The bride went for a beautiful Satin Red and Ivory Chaniya Choli ( blouse and flared skirt with a veil tucked in around the sides and pinned to the shoulders). My brother wore a long blue indian tunic. Pictures of them are not posted as I do not have their permission.
The wedding preparations were my reason for being away from youtube of late. Just catching up with it all now!
