As I say in the video I have always loved the waterlilies that Monet paints. I was lucky enough to see them in person when I was younger and I never forgot the detail and the beauty of them. Admittedly it is more striking in person when you see the paintings, as some of them span entire gallery walls. Breathtaking!

Anyways I wanted to devise a way that I could get a similar look on my nails. I stayed up one night while Adam was away at work and came up with this. I used a sponge on method which I have shown previously in several other nail videos, and I used a free hand method with an eyeliner brush. Half way through the video I chop the liner brush down to my liking so I could create even tinier detail.
If you like this sort of Artist inspired nail art then let me know and I might recreate a Van Gogh painting. Let me know if there are others you are interested in.
