Of course most of these websites can be useful for other things besides beauty related stuff. Haha well except for Makeup Alley and Temptalia, those are straight up beauty. Here are the sites in which I mention. Honestly I am not affiliated with any of them, I just thought it might be useful to show my routine when I go to purchase something online. Some of these sites have referral incentives and if you share your link to sign up you get money. I'm not interesting in that, but you find that you like them perhaps you can do that with other people.
1. www.Drugstore.com
They have two different websites in one. Drugstore + Beauty. The beauty is where you can get the higher end things normally sold in specialty stores. The advantage is you get to order from just one place. Pay one shipping that comes really fast.
2. www.Shoprunner.com
These guys team up with other popular shopping sites and are able to offer 2 day free shipping when you log in on that shopping site with shoprunner. Currently you get a free trial, then if you cancel before the trial is over, the trial extends. If you use shop runners three times before the 90 day trial its free for a year. If not it's almost 100 bucks.
3. www.mua.com
Makeup Alley is an awesome website for several different reasons. First you can find reviews on new/old products by almost any brand from 100's of different users. Secondly you can trade products you don't want anymore and get back products you do. People trade much more than makeup. I personally never trade for used or open mascaras.
4. www.eBay.com
I don't use eBay to buy current what's hot items. Because if its hot now the price is inflated with the demand. When the Naked Palette sold out when it first came out you could literally pay double or triple the retail just to have it. I use eBay to find unique items, and to buy things that I cannot get here in America, or that they have discontinued.
5. www.Retailmenot.com
My favorite one stop shop for coupons and promo codes to be used instantly for online shopping. I have found all kinds of great deals. I find free shipping codes, 30% off an order code, get a deluxe free sample with $25 dollar purchase. Just about any shopping site that has a space by checkout that says promo or coupon code you can find a current (or expired) code on this site to use. I love it.
The site I forgot to mention that I will now is www.Temptalia.com I love this site for dupes finding. This is how I save money if a product is over 90% dead on dupe for the higher end item I will give the dupe a try. I have a running list of all the dupes I found from her blog and now when I find that dupe cheap I pick it on. I can't believe I forgot this one!
