Protective styling is very important to maintaining hair length. That and how much you manipulate your hair.
Of course there are other factors in growing hair but protective styling is one method I use to maintain my length.
One thing about protective styling that I don't like is that it can get boring. That's why I try to create styles that compliment my face, are easy to create and fun to do.
This pin curled bun is simpler to put together than it looks. For starters, there are no curls! They just look curled. Watch the video to see how I put together this simpler yet elegant pin curled updo.
Items I used:
Shea Moisture Organic Coconut and Hibiscus Hold and Shine Moisture Mist (optional)
Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel (but preferably Aloe Vera Gel)
Jane Carter Nourish and Shine
Goody Two in One Brush
Banana Clip
Goody Double Coated Bobby Pins
Stretchy headband
