Saving a Historical Landmark From Demolition with Help of a Celebrity and Community
After renovating the exterior of the High Street house, Billy moves onto fixing up the interior of the same house. The project involves completely redoing the kitchen, master bedroom, den and the bathroom. In the entire house, the walls will be covered with bead board paneling, the original trim will be added and then everything will be painted. All the other rooms will undergo major renovation that will keep the house appropriate for the neighborhood and also modernize it by adding new appliances in the kitchen and a huge travertine shower in the bathroom. Billy has only one week to do it, because his realtor, Marsha Ballard has already scheduled an open house.Billy's crew gets to work enthusiastically and Billy supervises design ideas that are easy on the budget and will make the house stand out, such as whitewash walls in the bedroom and light boxes in the den. Billy also chooses granite countertops, lighting fixtures and a claw-foot tub from local manufacturers that will bring up the value of the house. While Marsha Ballard worries he won't be able to finish on time for the open house, Billy pushes forward and gets to decorating and staging the house with a local interior design company. Moreover, in the midst of renovation, Billy manages to book Wynonna Judd for a fundraiser in Aberdeen to save the old 5&Dime building.
