This is my most recent skin care routine I have been using for about 6-7 months on most of the core products. My only addition that was recent is the La Roche Posay acne treatment. I have tried all kinds of different products from the very cheap to expensive in hopes of finding the magical mix of products that was going to give me clear skin for a consistent amount of time.

Products mentioned:
1. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (the lotion version good for dry/normal skin)
2. Neutrogena makeup remover wipes (the blue package)
3. Sonia Kashuk eye makeup remover
4. Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel
5. Clarisonic Mia used with deep pore brush head
(I only cleanse once a day so usually in the morning if I am not wearing makeup that day or at night after I have taken my makeup off with the wipes)
6. DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask I use this as a spot treatment to sit on my pimples overnight. I have to use this for 3 or 4 nights in a row until the spot is all gone
7. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo I use once daily when I don't have active pimples but when I have an active spot I use 2-3 times/day on it. Very light application each time.
Using this routine (that I have outlined above) I have had the best skin I've experienced for 5 straight weeks. A longer period of time with zero pimples than I have ever had. When I am taking my placebo week on my pills I do get a few pimples but it nothing like I used to get around that time. I am sure that my routine will change if for some reason the products stop working. That is what happened after I found that Lush Grease Lightning worked then stopped working for me. I had to switch things up. I keep it simple and easy to follow without a lot of products.
In addition to using these skin care products, I make sure that the makeup I use is non-comedogenic. You can check here at this website www.cosdna.com if your makeup you're using is clogging your pores or not. This is the website I use to plug in the ingredients of my product and the site tells me which products if any have a high probability that someone like me will get clogged pore from it. Clogged pores = acne for some people.
The other thing that really helped me was the regulation of my hormones. I take a 28 day birth control pill. I think I take Microgestin or something like that. I don't know if it's the generic brand name or what it is. I know taking BC is not for everyone for a variety of reasons, but for those who may want to look into it it has helped me a lot these past 2-3 months of use.
