I purposely bought the fake MAC eyeshadow from eBay. One eyeshadow I bought from a seller who specifically stated it was a MAC eyeshadow. That one was the counterfeit "era". I bought it from a seller out of New England for $8.99 free shipping.
The other shadow I bought, the worst fake out of the two, I bought by searching eyeshadow and knowing what to look for. These sellers are smarter and don't claim that their shadows are a name brand. They leave the brand name completely out of the auction. That is how they get away with selling the fake on eBay.
While it is easy to buy fakes on eBay it is not always the cheapest. Sometimes the counterfeiters charge the same or even more than MAC retails for. It took me months to find a seller that I didn't have to spend too much on my fakes for this video. On some sites that claim to be authentic MAC wholesalers they charge almost pennies for the products and then when you go to check out they charge $200-$300 flat rate for shipping your items. You perhaps think that you are getting a great deal because you are getting an MSF or a highly sought after blush for dollars but you're not getting a deal. You're getting fakes and then paying outrageous prices for shipping. Plus the possibility of ever getting your money back from those wholesale sites is near impossible.
eBay is not the only place that sells fakes, at the same time fakes are not the only thing that they sell on eBay. There are some legit sellers. Just make sure to do a bit of research first and if you are unsure then simply ask the person to verify it's authenticity if that is what they claim that it is. If it's not going your way just don't buy it!
FTC: I bought all the items shown in the video with my own money. No one paid me for my opinions or to leave out my opinions, they are completely my own thoughts. No one sponsored me to make this video.

I was watching this and got curious, wondering how my MAC measured up.... And I have one of the super awesome fakes myself. I wouldn't have known if it wasn't for the fact that the bottom was a sticker label that, when I ran my thumb nail over it, pulled up to reveal ANOTHER label! The second label looks legit, as well as the packaging itself, leading me to believe they purchase a legitimate MAC shadow, depot it, and resell. I am deeply disappointed but thankfully it serves as a lesson learned. I wish that I'd seen this video sooner, but lesson learned for next time. I will be sticking to the MAC store itself now.
