Foundation has never worked with my skin (always looks cakey) so BB creams offered just what I needed...coverage that won't clog my face. One of my first purchases was this cream - Skin79's Oriental Gold BB Cream.
Here's what the company claims about this BB Cream:
"Luxurious tea ingredients helps skin remain moist and comfortable while presenting smooth and even skin. Also the cream lip & cheek completes the bright and lively makeup."
It claims it can make your skin smoother, blemish-free, and reduce wrinkles -- but I can't verify its wrinkle-reducing components since I really don't have any wrinkles *knock on wood*. What I do have is discoloration, however, especially concentrated around my chin area, and this BB cream covers it up well and now they seem less noticeable.
The cream is easy to dispense, easy to apply, and goes on like a cream, though it doesn't feel like a cream. It feels a bit thicker, but feels very light on the skin. It look greyish when applied, but eventually settles into a more natural skin tone. I have very light skin, so if you have light skin too, this will blend in well with your skin tone. You can also layer the cream to cover up trouble spots, such as acne scars or dark circles, though it isn't a full coverage cream.
The lip/cheek tint that comes with this BB cream is wonderful - very creamy, very matte on the cheeks and lips. Again, this cream tint is also buildable, and the tiny container it comes in also has a mirror.
One minor problem, however, is that its moisturizing properties won't work well with oily skin. The summer weather is making my skin really oily (I usually have dry skin), so this BB cream seems to enhance it. But this is easily fixable--just dust finishing powder on top and you'll be instantly matte. If you'd rather have a matte BB cream, though, skip this BB cream.
Overall, this cream is excellent, easy to apply, quickly evens out and lightens the skin tone, and comes with an awesome lip/cheek tint. I would highly recommend it, but those with oily skin should be wary.
It retails on SKIN79's website for $35.00, but I bought it on Amazon.com through SeoulGlamour for around $10.00. Yes, they sell legit cheap products, check them out if you want authentic BB creams :)
I have a couple of more BB cream reviews coming up, and I will compare it to this brand.
Forgive any mistakes here, it is 2am here and I may be herping my derp more than usual.
