Travel Tip: Essential Makeup Products

Traveling for business or for pleasure means you probably can't take your entire makeup collection with you...so here are some essentials to consider bringing along. All of these products are multi-use and small, making it easier to carry around without limiting your ability to do makeup (if you want to, that is). I also chose these products based on their lastability....if they last all day even during harsh weather, since you'll be outside a lot.
Show More Traveling for business or for pleasure means you probably can't take your entire makeup collection with you...so here are some essentials to consider bringing along. All of these products are multi-use and small, making it easier to carry around without limiting your ability to do makeup (if you want to, that is). I also chose these products based on their lastability....if they last all day even during harsh weather, since you'll be outside a lot.

Products in order:

1. Primer, preferably a multi-use primer such as STILA's Prime Color. Primers allow for smooth makeup application, control oil, and keep your makeup (at least most of it) put. This STILA primer acts as a primer, cheek color, lip color, and eyeshadow.
2. A basic travel makeup brush kit. Obviously, you're going to have a hard time applying makeup without one...and the one I chose also folds into a neat stand to make it easier to apply makeup. The case is also very small, making it easy to store away into a bag or suitcase.
3. BB cream. BB creams contain multiple benefits/features--such as primer, foundation, SPF protection, fighting wrinkles or acne, etc. The one I chose also contains a lip and cheek tint in the cover, so again, there's a multi-use aspect here.
4. MAC Fix+ spray. If you're on holiday, I'm assuming you're going to be out in the hot summer weather all day, either sightseeing or just relaxing...so this spray will ensure your makeup stays put. As another advantage, you can spray this on pigment to turn it into a creamy eyeshadow, again making this multi-use. Plus, it feels darn good to spray this on the skin, it's so cool and refreshing!
