Henna paste recipe #1:
Sift out enough henna to make about 1-1 and 1/4 cups dry, sifted henna powder.
Take 2 packets of instant coffee singles (the ones that look like tea bags) and boil hard in about 1 and 1/2 cups of water until it boils down to about 3/4 of a cup of dark liquid.
Mix just enough coffee into the powder to create a thick paste. The hot liquid will make the powder ball up a little, so be sure to mix it until it is well blended and smooth.
Add about 2 tablespoons lemon juice; fresh is best.
Add about 5 drops of Eucalyptus Oil.
Add about 5 drops of Clove Oil.
This should make a thin paste, but you don't want it runny. If it is too runny, add a little more sifted henna powder. If its too thick, add a little more coffee, or plain water.
henna Mehndi paste recipe #2:
Place about 2-3 tablespoons Henna powder in a glass, ceramic, or metal bowl
Boil 1 to 1-1/2 cups of water. Add 2 tea bags & Let steep for 5 minutes.
Add 4-6 Tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice!(NOT A Concentrate) *Mix well - mixture should resemble a thick cookie dough. Slowly add the hot tea to the mixture & stir well to avoid lumps.(small amount of tea!)
Add a few drops of Essential oils!! (1 teaspoon) *Mixture should be a little bit thinner than toothpaste (thicker is better then runny!).
Cover & let sit for 2 hours for dark stain.
Henna tattoo paste Recipe #3:
Boil about 6 to 7 slices of dried limes with 1 tsp sugar and a little water. When the water has turned a reddish color it is done. Mix your Henna Powder with some of the Lime/sugar water. Keep mixing till all the lumps are gone. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and sit in a warm spot overnight. The Next Morning morning, add the geranium and cajeput oils and stir until you have the consistency of toothpaste. Let this mixture sit for the day. Stir again - if the mixture seems too thick add a little warm water until you have the consistency you want.
Henna Recipe #4:
Simple and works great! Add Lemon Juice ( bottled or fresh ) to powder adding a teaspoon at a time until Henna is consistent to toothpaste or oatmeal (with out the clumps) Let sit out covered for 4-10 hours at room temperature (in Metal iron bowl). Add Essential oils and mix.12 hours later your Henna is ready. Add Sugar to help it dry slower! Most people say it helps it stick on the skin. Any wet Henna will stick , Sugar helps slow the drying time, which in return helps for a darker stain. "Hint"- Use honey for a sugar substitute.
Henna Recipe #5:
HENNA FOR BODY SKIN RECEIPE :--
BASIC HENNA PASTE RECIPE :To make henna paste or mehendi
Boiling water -- 1 cup
Black tea or coffee -- 2 tbsp
Sifted henna powder (make sure you sift the powder before making a paste) -- 3 tbsp
Eucalyptus oil -- 1 tsp
PREPARATION METHOD:
Boil the water and add the tea or coffee powder and make a mixture. Let this mixture soak for a few hours. Strain the mixture to remove any particles of tea or coffee. Place the henna powder into a plastic or glass bowl and add eucalyptus oil. Now slowly add the tea/coffee mixture a little at a time and stir the mixture. Use the spoon to press the powder and water together. Make a smooth paste of the henna powder. Allow the paste to stand for 6 to 12 hours. The longer you allow the paste to stand the smoother the mixture will become. Now apply this paste in any design you want and wait till the mehendi is dry, but not cracking. Take a cotton ball and dab a little lemon-sugar glaze to keep the henna moist. Keep the henna on for as long as you want.
After you remove the henna paste design from your skin, try not to wet the area for as long as possible. It is best to leave henna overnight. Using lemon-sugar glaze will ensure that the mehndi stays overnight.
Lemon-Sugar Glaze:In strained juice of ½ lemon add 1 tsp of sugar, mix well.
