This video was supposed to be uploaded this Monday but I had technical difficulties exporting. I'm glad it's finally up to share my recipe on how to make these sweet orange scented moisturizing bath bombs with everyone.

These bath bombs are fun to make and inexpensive. They will soothe aches, muscle pain, and soften the skin. Plus, you can enjoy the bath bombs fizzing in the tub with mood enhancing fragrances. You can make these as a gift for any occasion or for yourself to achieve silky smooth skin.

This recipe contains oatmeal to relieve irritation and redness from dry and itchy skin conditions like my eczema, hives, and psoriasis. I enjoy using these once a week during the harsh cold winter to keep my skin moisturized.

Moisturizing Bath Bomb Recipe for Winter Body Care or Dry and Itchy Skin:
- 1 Cup of Baking Soda
- ½ Cup of Citric Acid (Citric acid is used in canning food and preserving beverages. I suggest to visit the pharmacy, farm supply store that sells canning supplies, wine shop that sells wine making supplies, craft store that sells soap making ingredients, or online http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=citric+acid&hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&prmd=imvnsr&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1485&bih=960&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=8096676143038146777&sa=X&ei=JNzmTtaJFqjy2QW6ufScCQ&ved=0CLMBEPMCMAE#ps-sellers, http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=citric+acid&hl=en&client=safari&cid=9014852844705077214&ei=uMnnTqOFG-G7sgegxKXHBw&ved=0CAkQtRI. If you have a hard time getting it locally then you can substitute citric acid with 1/2 cup of cream of tartar that will make the bath bombs fizz in water. I prefer using citric acid for more fizz action and longer self life of a year if you are not planning to use them right away.
- ½ Cup of Corn Starch
- ¼ Cup of Epsom Salt (First Aid)
- 1/2 Cup of Oatmeal
- 2 Tbsp of Oil (Olive oil, grape seed iol, almond oil, cocoa butter, shea butter.. etc) For this bath bomb, I used 1 tbsp of Merlot Grape Seed Oil that can be found at the drugstore and 1 tbsp of Olive Oil for a total of 2 tbs of oil.
- 1 Tsp of Fragrance Oil or Essential Oil. I used Aura Cacia Sweet Orange Oil that was purchased from Whole Foods and you can get it at any natural food/vitamin store. You can also use dried herbs or flowers like lavender)
- Colorant (You can use dry pigment, La Bombe http://www.brambleberry.com/Bath-Bomb-Dyes-C50.aspx, or use only 1 drop of food coloring)
- Use Witch Hazel astringent that can be purchased in the first aid or skin care area of a grocery or drugstore. Spray into the mixture to form a solid ball. I spray about 2 to 6 times and it depends on the humidity of where you leave to use less or more.
- Place mold on a flat try with wax paper
- Place mixture into a silicone or plastic mold for 10 minutes. I don't recommend using a metal cookie cutter because the sharp edges doesn't shape well. The mold has to be least 2 inches thick to work.
- Optional: You can use icing decoration since it will dissolve in the bath and can help nourish the skin.
- Tap the sides of the mold to remove slowly and let it dry for 48 hours before use.
