Before attempting to do anything I would recommend learning how to french braid and/or dutch braid. Cornrows are simply tiny french / dutch braids so if you don't already know how to french/dutch braid I would recommend watching my video:

Doing it on yourself is a bit harder than doing it on a friend so maybe practicing on a friend or a little sister will help make it easier to master!

Cornrows are perfect for any season but are great for the summer because they keep your hair / bangs out of your face and they last a few days :D

They are also super awesome for when you are trying to grow out your bangs!!!
