Stacie Orrico has been one of my favorite musicians and idols since a young age. Her style, her voice, the way she holds herself up, the types of songs she writes and the message of many of her songs always seemed to feel right with me. When I was a young girl, I used to pretend that I was all the characters in There's Gotta Be More to Life whenever I heard the song. :P

I was still a pre-teen when I saw Stacie Orrico's music video, "Stuck" for the first time. I was snooping around Claire's and I was like ... 11. It was on the TV in the store. Coincidentally, it's makeup from Claire's today that are the signature key to this look! Funny how that turned out. I especially remember how she looked during the prom scene. Her vivid blue eyeshadow looked amazing! It wasn't until I was a bit older and had experimented with makeup for a while that I was able to understand the construction of the look, and how it worked so well. In my recreation, the eyeshadow isn't as vividly blue, but the concept is still the same. You can use any blue eyeshadow by any brand and level of pigmentation that you prefer. This look is perfect for you if you want to go for something dark, but still neat and not over-done. With soft glossy lips and minimal color on the cheeks, the eyes steal all the attention without looking too dramatic.
Please be safe at prom and I hope this tutorial helps or that it sparks some creativity in you for creating your own prom look. If you need help with advice on prom skincare, makeup application or what to put in your clutch, I got you!

I tried to incorporate many parts of the music video into this tutorial. See if you can find them!
It's fun! Girls, if a guy disses you like that - follow Stacie Orrico's example and give'em a "forget you" look and move on! :D

Prom Tip #6:
Massage your face with an ice-cube wrapped in a napkin prior to makeup application. It will refresh your face, reduce sweating and close your pores! And, it feels nice :)
Prom Tip #12:
The shine of your lipgloss should compliment the shine of your jewelry.
Prom Tip #22:
Bring oil dabbing sheets in purse to blot out excess oil right before picture taking.
Prom Tip #37:
Dont bring any makeup that can cause a mess in your purse. For example, use loose powder if applying making at home but use pressed powder when on the go. (Its compact and much neater!)
Prom Tip #56:
Use a dash of water from the bathroom sink at prom to reactivate hairspray.

Love you Stacie!
I'd also like to dedicate this video to Michelle Phan. A year ago when I had no idea how to do my prom makeup, I found her channel, learned many helpful tips, then soon after decided to start my own makeup channel. You never run out of helpful tips Michelle! :)
