I don't watch shows a lot ... but somehow in some way I got into Pretty Little Liars around the same time I was trying to plan some of my first photoshoots before the summer ended. This was my fourth photoshoot in the series I planned summer 2010. Of course, it's a for-fun shoot and not associated with the actual TV show or an agency. I kind of worked the theme around the location I had (this place was easy to reach), the number of girls I had, easy clothes to coordinate and their profiles. And I realized the theme fit Pretty Little Liars so with a few changes, that's exactly what this became.

I did the concept sketches and thought of locations and coordinated with the models to try and see what black dresses and accessories they had and which would fit the look the best. I think they look lovely in them if I do say so myself ...
For hair my friend Vilma did basically all of the curling and some teasing and styling. I helped with some frizzing of the hair too.
I was mainly in charge of makeup though Vilma did aid me a few times when I was rushing around haha.
I am the photographer of all the photos in this video but my friend Jess came along too because he wanted to take a few of his own shots and to help out with documenting the entire process. Thank you so much Jess!

== Wait, Bellatrix? What are you doing here? ==
You can see Melina in this video because originally the Bellatrix photoshoot was supposed to be on it's own day but things came up and we were unable to do it. I almost dropped the idea but I realized I would work three times harder and faster on this day just to get the footage of Bellatrix and the pictures and because she was so excited for it and we even did trial makeup and went all the way to her house, SO ... it was quite a hectic day staggering everyone on what time to arrive and doing makeup for Bellatrix, taking pictures in my house, doing makeup on the rest of the girls, going to location, filming Bellatrix, taking pictures of Bellatrix THEN taking pictures for Pretty Little Liars. We barely made it before the sun went down, which is why we look a bit red at the end.
I hope you enjoy this video as so so much planning and editing time went into both the photos and the video. There were 635 original pictures from this shoot and 35 final edited shots. Hopefully this helps you see a glimpse of how many aspects and planning it takes to get a shoot done with the resources that you have. Hoping to do many more and maybe even, professionally someday :)
