This enchanting, ancient beauty look was inspired by the colors of Egyptian artwork, dance and culture. Golds, ebony, bronzes, rose, coppers, deep blue, teals and greens are the key colors of this look. You can use this look to dress as your favorite Egyptian queen for Halloween or, if you tone the colors & extent of the lines down, this could turn into a bold everyday look. Especially with the signature drawn on, thick black eyebrows, this look comes off as very statement making, very bold and eye-widening. Yet at the same time it can enchant and delight :)

Did You Know?
Egyptians used to line their eyes with black kohl mainly to redefine the appearance of the eyes and ... as "sunglasses!" Doing this helped reduce the glare of the hot sun as to not be as harsh on their eyes. American football players today use a similar technique by drawing black lines under their eyes. Also, they believed that lining their eyes would help deflect negativity from "the evil eye." I did an oral presentation my freshman year of college on ancient makeup and beauty so I was able to learn these things :)

I actually got my headdress from a Tutankhamun exhibit museum that was in my area for a period of time. It is said to be handmade by women in Nubia, I love it ... you can search "Egyptian headdress" on Google shopping to find siimilar products!
I watched videos of belly dancer Sadie over and over again to create the intro dance sequence and ending sequence. Of course, I am not even 1/10th as graceful as her in dance! If you have a chance to, watch her dance. It's absolutely stunning and mesmerizing on how she can move her body!
