A common costume for the Halloween season is ... a nurse! Back before scrubs when they actually wore white hats and white clothing. I aimed to make this a very uninviting, harsh, pasty, intimidating look with the use of dramatically darkened eyebrows, facial contouring, dramatic darkened eyes, pointy lashes and the use of the color red in many ways! You should look like a nurse that's been in the hospital (or an asylum) for a wee bit too long and you're CRAZY. At the end I took the makeup up a notch in just 3 steps to transform the look into a much darker, eerier almost zombie-like nurse. Tweak this look as you like, these are just ideas :)

Why be a typical or sexy nurse when you can be an EVIL ONE INSTEAD?!

This makeup look can also work with a "sassy school girl" look (think red uniform skirts!). If you interchange the red eyeshadow for blue, this could also work for a female cop costume, sassy firefighter, she-devil, evil maid, dead red-riding hood ... you know the usuals haha.

*CoverGirl Eye Enhancers (regular eyeshadow) in Drama Eyes 222
*Kryolan "Fresh Scratch" (pre-made fake blood)
*** you can use regular tempura or acrylic paint to create blood on your face too - just do an allergy test on your wrist prior to make sure you aren't allergic to the paint as some people are. Fake blood can be created in many ways, be creative!

COSTUME ==
I did not buy a nurse costume kit! I am simply wearing a red tanktop, a lace red blouse with a fitted white blouse on top. The hat is made out of regular printer paper, folded then bobby pinned to the hair. I drew on the red symbol with red nailpolish. Whoo! I highly recommend trying to make your own costume for simpler outfits such as a nurse or cop for Halloween. That you can find more clothes fitted to you, possibly save money, be able to reuse the clothes AND no one will really have the exact same costume as you!
