How To: Five (5) Strand Braid

I am going to be completely honest ha ha, when I first watched a tutorial for this I thought I'm NEVER going to learn this! I spent JUST one day practicing on myself and others and finally got it! It's literally that easy it's about knowing which strand goes where.
Show More I am going to be completely honest ha ha, when I first watched a tutorial for this I thought I'm NEVER going to learn this! I spent JUST one day practicing on myself and others and finally got it! It's literally that easy it's about knowing which strand goes where.
If you follow these steps and watch it a couple of times it's bound to make sense, keep practicing!

- Name the strands 1 - 5, 3 (the middle) doesn't move around as much as the other strands
- If you work from left to right you cross strand 1 over 2, and the strand closest to 3 on the left side goes under it becoming the 'new' strand 3 (middle)
- Then work from right to left, strand 5 over 4 and again the strand closest to 3 on the right goes under it becoming the 'new' strand 3 (middle)
- Repeat until you finish and secure with an elastic
