This look was inspired by my new, limited edition Milani paint eyeshadow palette. I really just wanted to get in there and try to incorporate all the colors from the palette and show my viewers just exactly this palette was all about.


All the colors in this palette, including neon orange, green, blue, purple, yellow, pink, and white, are all matte and look extremly pretty in the pan. When I seen this on Milanicosmetics.com, I was so excited to have it in my hands, along with the haute flash lipglosses, I just couldn't wait any longer. I had to place an order.


First Impression:


The colors of this palette are strikingly bold and bright in the pan, but once swatched, I was extremely dissapointed at the pigmentation that these colors were lacking. They hardly showed up on my arm, no matter how much i scraped my finger against the color. Determined to try to make this work, I lathered the back of my hand with the NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencil and began to reswatch. Much to my suprise, they were quite pretty when swatched on top of white base.


Although these colors are all matte and rather dusty, they blend really easily, and i once I tapped the excess off my brush, I had little to no fallout. They felt really smooth atop my eyelid and caused no irritation.


Overall thoughts of the palette:


I definitly would not go out of my way to re-purchase it, however, if I saw it, on sale, in my local drugstore, I would probably pick it up and toss it in the basket.

The initial swatches were rather dissapointing, but applying a white base can make the palette workable.


I paired this look with the physicians formula mood boosting blush in rose, MAC blacktrack fluidline, Milani XL bronzer in fake bake #2, cover girl lashblast fusion waterproof mascara, Ardell 102 lashes, and the Milani haute flash lipgloss in flashy.
