Life abroad often leaves people thinking that the things that matter the most like great healthcare will be subpar in other countries outside of the US. This is the furthest from the truth. I've experienced healthcare in 2 other countries and it has been state of the art and the doctors have proven to take more of a human approach to their care. They take the time to listen to what you have going on and are not slaves to insurance.

This facility, however, does take many forms of insurance including VA but they are also priced reasonably for those that are self pay. While offering state of the art services, they also keep in mind that not everyone is rich and not everyone is insured. Here you are able to see their imaging spaces, neonatal ICU and the neonatal areas for new babies. You will see a standard hospital room and every room I visited had large windows that overlooked green areas allowing a lot of natural light in to help add to what I feel is important for helping you feel better. The hospital looks like a hotel in a lot of areas, even the waiting areas offers welcoming seating with soft bottoms for people like me with boney bottoms.
Thank you Hospital Faro Del Mayab for welcoming us in to your beautiful facility.
