This year, one of my goals is to start exploring the world around me. I need to start somewhere, I chose to explore my grandmother's birthplace anew. It has been more than a decade since I've been to Zambales and I have always wanted to be back.

It was my first time to really get out of my comfort zone after being a single parent & mom to my now grown up kids. I am thankful to my airbnb host, Liza for being such a wonderful host. I had a great time staying with them.
My airbnb review:
I highly recommend THE GARDEN RESORT & RESTO in PUNDAQUIT, SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES for Airbnb first timers like me who are looking for a short getaway. You get to enjoy communing with nature, excuisite cuisine, friendly & accommodating hosts, relaxing ambience and friendly fellow guests. Liza, the airbnb host, makes a point that all her guests are taken cared of, and you will never feel intimidated as a first time visitor. Her warm personality will surely disarm your anxiety as a first time traveler. You and your fellow travelers/guests will feel like family. Because it was my first time to get out of my comfort zone, I had a lot of questions and Liza was patient to send me prompt replies. She assured me that everything will be fine. When I arrived, the caretaker greeted me with a warm smile and she was very polite to me, she even gave me some recommendations, she showed me my bed (the rooftop is a shared accommodation)and politely excused herself. I immediately fell in love with my view: when I arrived, the sun was just setting and it was a peaceful and picturesque moment. What you can expect: • the chef serves five star cooking, and the food they serve is good for two people, and the price is comparable to most hotel restaurant prices. • they also have menu for local food if you're not up for a fancy lunch or dinner. • you have the basic necessities: sink for washing your own dishes or soiled clothing; a mirror to check yourself; tap shower; a toilet; power outlets for charging your gadgets, a double bed and mosquito net to keep insects away (this is a rooftop view afterall). • no corkage at the time of this writing. You can bring your own snack, just be responsible not to leave your trash lying around so that other patrons and guests can enjoy their stay too. • the rooftop accommodation is an open space, and it's really nice to hang out especially when the sun gets too hot. The environment is calming and the view is fantastic. You can lounge with your favourite book or novel, listen to music to while the time away before trotting to the local bars around the area. • you may want to bring your own mosquito repellent if you feel you need to, but there wasn't at the time of my stay. • going around isn't a hassle. Liza can help get you a ride wherever you need to be. Kinda like a local version of grab taxi hehe. Just a reminder: *Liza doesn't impose a strict curfew and the gate is closed when it's lights out, so make sure to ask for a copy of the gate key if you're planning to explore the area and expect to come in very late or if you plan to wake up early morning for a nice walk or jog by the sea. You will love it here.
