It's just my theory, but while working as idols, their passion got burned out and they are afraid to lose a big part of themselves.
When "diving deeper into themselves", they still find music as their passion, and they feel like they should not give up on it.
Basically, they cannot die yet. Like the dancer fights against the shadows.
In the end, the shadows still get him, but they make him fly... maybe it's a metaphor for coping with it now, and being able to see the negative things as something that can make them stronger.

Like i said dance is not my strong suit lol!
Listening to the single version it definitely hits differently. Beautifully executed for all i think :)
