Hey everyone!

So let's get this out of the way: Yes. I filmed this 6 months ago, when it was the height of summer in Japan. It is now VERY COLD and possibly SNOWING where I filmed this... I'm very behind with my uploads due to, you know, life. But I am determined to show you Japan and my travels around the country.

WHERE IS HOTEL INN TSURUOKA?
This particular hotel is located in a small city called Tsuruoka, on the North Western side of Japan, in a prefecture called Yamagata. It's about 2.5 hours north of Tokyo by Shinkansen. You can get a JR Pass, or take an overnight bus to Yamagata. You should then hire a car and drive West to Tsuruoka! There are public transport options, such as busses and trains, but a car is way easier (and not scary!). This is the countryside, after all, so it's not super busy on the roads, and the landscape is breathtaking!

The goal of this video is to show you how easy it is to do this, even as a solo traveler. It is not sponsored (I wish!) and everything was paid for by me. I try to visit Japan every year, and film whenever I can. This was a great opportunity to do just that!
