THUMMIES RECIPE: (We made this recipe x4)
1 heaping cup all purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Jam, preserves, or marmalade (we use Smuckers Seedless Red Raspberry Jam & Apricot Jam)

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Mix flour, sugar & butter to a crumbly, piecrust type consistency.
- Add yolk & vanilla. Mix thoroughly. (Hands work best to mix)
- Form dough into a ball & chill until firm enough to handle easily.
- With floured hands, shape into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place on greased or nonstick cookie sheet 1 inch apart.
- With thumb or finger, make an indentation in center of each cookie.
- Fill with jam (don't overfill!)
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes until golden.
- Allow to cool thoroughly and store in air-tight containers.
