In my last video, I told you guys about my new Keto diet and today I am showing you one of my favorites meals so far: keto pizza!!! I was afraid that I'd have to give pizza up because of the carb count and bread, but no!!! I discovered a delicious recipe and decided to try it for myself. In my last video, I told you guys about my new Keto diet and today I am showing you one of my favorites meals so far: keto pizza!!! I was afraid that I'd have to give pizza up because of the carb count and bread, but no!!! I discovered a delicious recipe and decided to try it for myself. And I must say that I am completely satisfied with my keto pizza, very tasty!
#FatHeadDough Recipe:
Mozzarella Cheese - 1 1/2 cups
Cream Cheese - 2 tbsp
Almond Flour - 3/4 cup
1 egg
Pizza Toppings:
Classico Pizza Sauce Carbs: 6g
Mozzarella Cheese
Parmesan Cheese
Pepperonis
Use whatever toppings you would like, I went with mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and pepperonis.
Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2.Combine mozzarella and cream cheese and microwave in a large bowl for intervals of 30 secs until melted evenly, mix in between.
3. Add the egg to your cheese mixtures, it's optional to use a mixer.
4. Add your almond flour to the cheese/egg mixture and knead to your liking. Sprinkle almond flour on your counter to prevent sticking.
5. Once you dough as taken form, begin to flatten your dough into a pizza shape. (Parchment paper and a roller helps greatly, but not required)
6. Poke holes in your dough with a fork to prevent it from rising. Bake your pizza dough in the oven for 8-10 mins. I wanted mine on the softer side so I took it out around 8 mins.
7. Remove your dough from the oven and add on all your toppings. I lightly covered mine with garlic butter and pizza sauce. Also added a few handfuls of mozzarella cheese and grated some Parmesan. Lastly, I added pepperonis.
8. After you're done topping your pizza, place it back into the oven for 8-10 mins.
9. Remove from oven, give it a few minutes to cool off and ENJOY!!!
