Hey RRLV Fam! Today is the day!! Finally the search is over and we have the keys to our new home… for at least 11 months or so! I am more than excited to see this house hunting end, but I am MORE EXCITED TO SHARE SOME “signing a lease” tips with you! Some might already know these, that I have shared in this video, BUT I’m sure it’s helpful to someone! They might seem simple, but VERY USEFUL!!

1. Take notes! While reviewing the lease from front to back, take the time to make notes… questions, concerns, etc! Don’t leave out any details!

2. Move-in Inspection! Walk the premise from top to bottom AND TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEO! Find all the flaws and make notes, THEN SEND THEM TO THE AGENCY or OWNER. This will cover you when it’s time to move out!

3. Take your time! They might try to rush you, BUT DON’T GIVE IN!

4. Don’t be afraid to ask questions! I know sometimes you might feel embarrassed to ask a certain question, but it’s so important to fully understand a legal document before signing SO ASK AWAY!! Even if you think it’s silly

It’s not always organized or clean over here, and we have dog fur on our couch. Zari toys aren’t always put away. I don’t always wear makeup and even when I do I still look tired LOL! We eat plant based and I tend to stay away from oils, refined sugars and a few other things to significantly lessen the fibromyalgia symptoms. We do not label ourselves as vegan. We are currently moving from the Mojave Desert, CA to the East Coast, for a new chapter of our lives! We aren’t perfect, and I won’t try to pretend like we are, but that’s the beauty of life! We look different, think different, live different… imagine if a bunch of different people were friends! We could all learn from one another… learn different cultures and, ideologies… we could “end” stereotyping then work side by side to make this world a better place! *I’m such a hopeful person* *I believe we can do better and we will do better*
