To show our appreciation, we invited Mum and Grandmother, Karen Keenan, to our studio for a pamper day with the amazing Alyson Peacock.

It’s so important to look after yourself and practice self-care, especially as a mum. You have people depending on you which can be so stressful at times; it’s important to check in with yourself and make sure you're feeling ok. If you’re ok then most likely your social circle and the people depending on you will feel good too. You aren’t being selfish, we promise! It’s all about making sure the foundations you create are solid.

We asked Karen a few questions about self-esteem, self-care and finding me time. When asked,
How important is self care to you? Karen replied:

“Hugely, I have neglected that part of my life before and it had a huge impact on my mental health, so I learned the hard way that it is very important to take time to take care of yourself, so that you have time to care for the other important people in your life”

So this Mother’s day, take time for you! Show your mum how much you love her, give her a pamper day too! It’ll make the world of difference, not just for your wellbeing, but for the people you love around you too.
