I might be a bit a bit biased since this is my aunt's recipe and I loved it growing up. She would layer on almond slices on top, so you can definitely do that too for an added flair. Feel free to add walnuts, or even coconut shavings or chocolate chips for an added extra flair!

Here's the simple recipe:
2.5 cups self raising flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups sugar
3 bananas
6 eggs
1 cup milk
3/4 vegetable oil
1) preheat oven to 355F
2) mix and sift flour x salt x baking powder
3) beat 6 eggs
4) cream eggs with sugar (add in everything bit by bit)
5) + bananas
6) + flour
7) + milk
8) + oil last
9) bake in oven for around 45 minutes and rotate the cake back to front for even baking
10) turn the temperature down to 320F for the last 30% of baking, and check whether it's done by poking into the center with a tooth pick. If it's not sticking anymore, you're done
11) remove from oven and let cool. You can pour it out of the tin if you can, but I kept mine in and just ate from there.
12) Eat up!
