I finally figured out how to best twist my hair. Because my hair has a loose curl pattern, my two strand twists aren't that tightly twisted and usually unravel.
After doing some searching, I learned that I should try to do more of a "rope style" when twisting my hair. So, as I twist my hair, I roll it in my fingers in the opposite direction. This is the way kinky twists are done.
After watching a video from African Export, I decided to use my old school Blue Magic Coconut Oil Hair Conditioner as my styler. I believe this is what made my twists look so shiny and juicy.
I was really pleased with how defined my two strand twists were. I almost didn't want to unravel them for a twist out. I let the twists air dry for 1 day.
The resulting twist out, after lifting my roots with a pick to make it look fuller, was worn for a few days. Each night, I simply gathered my hair up into a pineapple and tied my hair up with a satin scarf.
