Hi! Here's how I did the gelatin piece on the Giger makeup tutorial.

Hi! Here's how I did the gelatin piece on the Giger makeup tutorial.
The first thing I did was shape the putty the way I wanted, then I built up a wall with putty so the plaster would not spill everywhere.
I used cooking spray as an isolator.
I poured plaster over the mold and helped myself with a brush so I would enter into all crevices. I did some strong movements on the wood I was working on so all the bubbles would go up and not interfere in the mould.
Waited until the plaster hardened and remove the putty.
I mixed 2 parts gelatin, 2 parts glycerin, 1 part water. Heated it in the microwave and poured it while hot into the mold. Waited for it to harden to I could remove it, but before I did that I powered it so the gelatin would not stick to each other.
And that was it!
I glued it with Spirit Gum, you can glue it with Pros-Aide, but I didn't have any. I painted it with wolfe Hydrocolor and Makeup Forever Flash palette.
