cream or ivory coloured face powders were used by most women, oh, and don't forget the lips, which were perfectly outlined, and filled in with red lipstick.
however, 'Flappers' were still condemed by some for wearing this look.


apply face make up and prime eyes and lips
apply black to the eyelid and blend in well
apply russet over the black and blend into the creaseline. bring the colour under the lower lashline and smudge in.
highlight the browbone with a dark peachy gold.
line upper and lower lashline, as well as the inner rim, with black eyeliner.
define eyebrows.
curl lashes and coat with black mascara.
sweep a peachy brown blusher onto the cheeks.
line lips with a red lipliner and fill in with red lipstick.
