I wanted to dress up as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, because this movie is so near and dear to my heart. In September 2010 I moved away from my hometown of Philadelphia, PA to Houston, Texas all on my own--away from all of my friends and family. I left because I wanted something new and fun; I was chasing adventure. I remember as I was packing to move to Houston, I kept playing the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" over and over. It was my inspiration to move! Well, I lived in Houston for 2 years, and they were the worst two years of my life! I worked for a horrible, heartless boss. She was so horrible that I remember once when she left the office early, one of my coworkers ran around the office singing "Ding Dong! The witch is gone!!" I learned that I shouldn't have left my friends and family to go looking for something better on the other side of the rainbow, because what I had at home was all I ever needed! I moved back home in October 2012 with my dog, Lacey, a little mini poodle I adopted when I lived in Houston (my own version of my Toto?) I have a whole new appreciation for my home now, and those words, "There's no place like home," resonate with me on a whole new level, and mean the world to me now! I thank God for bringing me back HOME!
