I don't have a crazy hair routine, but I try to take care of it using these simple techniques. I didn't mention this in the video, but if you have split ends or you want to maintain healthier hair, it is recommended that you trim your hair around 3 times a year. I do not follow that rule simply because I'm lazy to cut my hair on my own these days and visiting the salon that I trust is expensive.
Here's what I do to maintain healthy and long hair
I use a brush with wooden bristles because it massages the scalp to stimulate circulation, minimizes static and helps distribute natural oils.
I wash my hair 1-2 a week. I condition my ends and only shampoo my roots. If my scalp feels dry, I do a apple cider vinegar rinse. ACV helps close the hair follicle so as to prevent breakage and split ends.
When I step out of the shower, I use a little bit of a conditioning treatment on my ends as a leave in. I use oil in my ends on a daily basis to help moisturise them and prevent split ends.
I wear my hair in a loose top knot or tight French braid when I go to bed. This helps the hair from looking matted and getting tangled overnight.
