Hey guys,
So today I'm doing another Get Ready With Me, but this one was for a face painting gig I had for the Walk for Turner Syndrome. Now if you're like me, you probably had to look up what exactly Turner Syndrome was. It's a genetic defect in the X crhomosomes of girls. Basically the one of the X chromosomes don't fully develop because of genetic mutation. So what does that mean? She might not have fully matured ovaries, if they even get close. Some girls don't have any. They might also be shorter than a normal girl. "Alot of girls are short, what does that matter?" While height isn't too big of an issue, that's just a symptom. Some of the other side effects of having this disease are heart problems, lung problems, not being able to have children. It's not something to just laugh off. The girls who I met at this walk were super sweet. They are normal girls with a struggle they have been battling it out with since birth.
