Improper placement may cause Tape hair to slip. Just because someone looks up how to do these on YouTube or has been doing other type hair extensions for 10 years, does not mean, that they are proficient in applying every type of hair extension system.
Keep your Tape bonds clear and free or residue, oils, and conditioners. The tape is made with glue, so if washed directly on Tape tabs with warmer or hot water, this could potentially melt the tape. Wash below the Tape bonds to reduce this risk.
Proper brushing/combing: Hold your hair at the top by the roots with one hand to support the bonds. With your other hand, you can brush gently by starting at the ends and working up toward the scalp. Do not brush or comb the actual bonds.
Washing: Let your Tape hair settle a bit. You do not need to wash everyday. After installation, wait at least 3-4 days before washing and be gentle.
You can always have some extra Tape on hand for touch ups. Some slippage is normal as with any type of hair extension, but excessive slipping is mostly due to improper installation and overuse of hair manipulation.
