Hey guys!
So, just to pip y'all at the post, yes I know Cute Polish literally just uploaded a very similar design yesterday, but if you check my social media then you would have seen I finished this design over a week ago! So please, no 'You copied Cute Polish' comments. Keep it friendly and fun!
In fact, this is not a brand-spanking new design. A Korean nail art enthusiast did this design a few years ago, and not many have attempted it since. Her page isn't updated anymore, but you can still check it out here: http://sweetnailart.tumblr.com/
A few pointers that might help you out with this one:
- Definitely give yourself time, you don't need to rush this design at all. Each nail will take about 5-10 minutes at a nice steady pace.
- Nail polish can dry very quickly, and doesn't always have an opaque finish, so you could try using acrylic paints instead. Using acrylic paints for nail art is very common as they can be easier to mix, move and work with.
- I am TERRIBLE at doing my right hand!! So instead of trying to cover every nail with this design, I only painted a couple of accent nails with this design on my right. This is a great way to cut down on time, plus it looks great!
- To help pick up the rhinestones with an orange stick or toothpick, just wet the tip of the stick very lightly by dipping it in some water. Or licking it. You know. Whatever floats your boat.
This is one of those designs that looks amazing once it's finished and you are bound to get a heap of compliments about! Don't be afraid of giving it a go - consider it a challenge and a way to test your growing skills! :)
