hi hi! so i've been meaning to get out a video like this for quite some time and i wanted to make sure that i gave you all the tips and tricks i possibly could! down below i am going to have all of my tips and tricks listed so that you don't have to worry if you miss one in the video. XO happy growing ;)
My Tips & Tricks:
-"D-U-S-T" the most important word to remember when at the hair salon
-refrain from cutting your hair any way special every time you go back
-your hair will still grow if you don't cut it. cutting it will simply get rid of split ends
-split ends shorten your hair by breaking at the bottom
-"ALCOHOL" & "SULFATE" are found in many hair products and will damage your hair.. check the ingredients!
-"SULFONATE" and "SULFATE" are not the same thing!
-when washing your hair, you only need to wash it a couple times a week, washing it too much will take out natural oils.
-shampoo goes all over your hair from the root to tip and lathered in
-conditioner is focused at the ends and roots of the hair and finger combed in
-when using a mask, you do not need to condition your hair.
-use a mask up to 2-3 times a day
-hydrating oils are very good for your hair, Macadamia is the most hydrating
-avoid bringing heat to your hair, that includes straightening, curling, blow drying, etc
-if you must use a iron then use a heat protect-ant focusing it at the ends.
-when brushing your hair, hold the hair at the scalp and brush starting at the bottom and making your way up
-avoid using hair ties as much as possible, they pull at your hair
-omega-3, viatmin D, and biotin can help you hair grow. there are hair/skin vitamins that you can take.
-keeping yourself healthy
-LOVE YOUR NATURAL HAIR!!
xo i hope this helps you. if you have any questions, feel free to ask!!
