The one thing that I really like is that as long as you are doing strands of the same size, you will always get uniform curls with this want. I notice that when I curl manually, I tend to fluctuate with the tension I use (i.e. how tight I wrap my hair around the barrel) which not only tires my arm, but actually creates varying curls.
