Hi all of my beautiful viewers!
Today I am going to show you one of my all time favorite products and how I use it as an overnight hair treatment…and that is COCONUT OIL. I get mine for Trader Joe’s, but you can find it at any food store and even online as well.
Because it is summer here mine is already melted, but if yours is in solid form all you have to do is scoop some out of the jar and then rub it between your hands to melt it. Then you just want to generously apply it all over your hair. Make sure to get everything nice and saturated and don't forget the tips of your hair and your roots as well. You can give yourself a nice massage and wind down after a long day at work, school or maybe just do it as you are watching TV or doing chores. Why not condition and pamper yourself once in a while, right? Once you are happy with the amount of oil that is in you hair you can either leave it down or put it up into a bun. You can choose between a messy bun or a nice sleek one - i show you how to do both in the video.
Now you just want to leave it in your hair for a few hours or overnight. In order to avoid getting oil all over your pillow you can either place a towel over your pillow or designate a certain pillowcase that you use on the days when you wear oil in your hair.
In the morning you want to shampoo TWO times and then condition like you normally do. I like to lean towards drugstore shampoo when trying to wash the oil out of my hair only because I feel like they do a better job at stripping the oil from your hair.
I really hope that you liked this super quick tutorial and if you did please don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe. Also, check me out on instagram! @Ely.Ruedas
