I decided to write this after I finished watching Dawson's Creek. I loved that show and I hold it dear to my heart because it brought back so many memories and made me long for the past, but at the same time taught me so many lessons. If you guys haven't seen that show, I strongly suggest it. It's on Netflix! :)

I miss the 90s. I miss being a kid or younger at least.. When everyone was innocent, fun came in the form of imagination and heart. But Nostalgia is a dirty liar that insists things were better than they seemed. So I can look back on every memory or every Summer and think how nothing will ever come close, but I have a whole life ahead of me. Yet to experience love, traveling, my own family...
There is a quote that says:
"Nostalgia is possibly the greatest of the lies that we tell ourselves. It is the glossing of the past to fit the sensibilities of the present. For some, it brings a measure of comfort, a sense of self and of source, but others, I fear, take these altered memories too far, and because of that, paralyze themselves to the realities about them."
What I'm trying to express is, don't lose yourself in the past. No matter how much you miss it, you'll look back in a few years and miss this, right now! And so forth. Being young is something I miss already. Maybe thats normal, maybe thats not... but I do know that new memories will come and then someday I'll grow old and I'll pass. Same with every other human being. Thats life and we have to accept that. The important part is being happy and making every moment count.
