･ m a k e u p ･

since doing makeup recreations of agnes cecile and stephanie pui-mun law paintings, i've wanted to tackle a different shironuri makeup look that was darker and more halloween themed. so i decided to choose a painting by dustin bailard. i think the iphone photos i took actually better show off how, when i look down, the makeup actually makes my eyes look abnormally big, shrinking the face and more accurately portraying his art style.

i did a very dark halo smokey eye which i brought up all the way to my eyebrows to exaggerate the size of the eyes. the tips and techniques i discuss in this video show how you can do this makeup as well. to make it look more artistic i drew on the highlights.

and that's how i turned myself into this dustin bailard painting, perfect for halloween eh :3
