Today was a great day. I was having issues at work because another coworker was doing things that triggered negative emotions in me.

I understand that when people are rude and condescending it’s usually because they are hurting  inside. And that we do not fight against flesh and blood like Ephesians 6:12 says. So my issue was not with who did what or what they were saying, but the fact that I allowed their actions to upset me and make me feel bad.


Yesterday I mentioned the lady at church gave me a beautiful verse Romans 15:13

Romans 15:13New International Version (NIV)

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

So I repeated that along with Psalm 23. And everytime a negative thought would pop it’s head up, I will hit it with a song of praise or another bible verse.


Then I remembered that my God is the God of Isaac, Abraham and Jacob. That my God raised the dead, stopped the Sun and walked on water. Why was I so worry about my little ridiculous situation. Because to worry or feel distress or afraid means I am not trusting God.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
