for this makeup look i turned myself into tina yu's juliet sculpture. she is an amazing artist and i've fallen in love with all of her sculptures...they're so so beautiful.

i chose juliet because i wanted to challenge myself by creating a bunny hood (this is basically a bunny makeup tutorial...for those who wanted me to make another one lol), as well as embroidering it with beads. of course, i've never embroidered before, but i was adamant i was going to do it and i better do it right...sometimes i'm a bit ridiculous with expectations but that's just how i am eh.

first i created a hood which covered my entire head except for my face. then, very painstakingly, i spent over 30 hours hand embroidering individual beads into the hood, and then onto the bunny ears i attached (which are made from felt). truly a labor of...uh, pain i guess. and indeed it was a big challenge. but i pushed through it and learned a lot of things along the way, the big one being that this hood makes my head the size of the moon, but also how much i love embroidery! i'm addicted now and i'm already working on two other pieces which are way better than this hood. this hood, unfortunately, was sloppily put together because i have little experience with sewing, but what i learned along the way was worth it.

the bunny makeup itself is pretty simple. a pink cut crease is a must. the sculpture also features rhinestones on both eyelids, but my eyes are sensitive, so that was a no go for me. instead, i applied iridescent shimmer, which really didn't show up well on camera.

hope you enjoyed my interpretation of a tina yu sculpture, this was fun to do :3 my next makeup look will be something even more intricate...as a little hint, it will be based off a certain artist who doesn't work with paint, instead it's the way she sings and expresses herself that captivates me...and maybe she is a Scorpio too like myself...;) Hmm wonder who
